COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT 3000 DVDs seized Woman had no licence to operate

A Montego Bay woman was yesterday charged for breaches of the Copyright Act after she was found with over 3,000 digital video discs (DVDs).

She has been identified as Tashauna Dudley, 29, of Catherine Hall, St James.

Dudley was arrested after members of the Montego Bay Street Crimes Unit went to a shop she operated.

The police say Dudley failed to produce a licence to operate when they requested one.

Two central processing units, one monitor, 32 phone cards, one computer mouse and $12,750 were also seized.

Dudley will appear in court on Thursday.
